The Beautiful Badlands

About: The largest protected mixed grass prairies, where fossils have been found dating back to over 37 million years old. The park it self, is 244,000 acres of preserved wildlife. The Badlands is most commonly known for its great scenery and wild bison that will cross the street five feet from your car.
Attractions: This is a great place to stop on the way across the country and is right near Wall Drug, the nation's largest drug store. This is also about 2 hours from Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse and a few more hours from Devils Tower National Monument.

Devils Tower - First National Monument

Park: Devils Tower KOA
About: President Theodore Roosevelt established Devils Tower National Monument on September 24, 1906. At this time it was the first National Monument. Devils Tower rises over 1250 feet above the Belle Fourche River. The park has a nice cafe where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner.
Attractions: Devils Tower National Monument is a rock climbers fantasy. Keyhole State Park and Black Hills State Forest are both within an hour of Devils Tower. Another nearby attraction is the Vore Buffalo Jump, which is one of the best archeological sites in native american history.

Blue Sky Attends RV Rally

Destination: Bowling Green State University
About: Picture was taken from the side of a brand new RV, while we were touring the newest RV's, some of which have not been placed on the market yet. The Bowling Green Bash is an annual RV rally that is hosted by FMCA. This is the 82 annual international convention hosted by FMCA.
Attractions: The rally was hosted by the Bowling Green State University. Entertainment at the event is as follows: Lorrie Morgan sang at the event on Wednesday night, 42Five played on Tuesday night, and Phil Dirt and the Dozers are scheduled for thursday night. There were hundreds of exhibits set up in the rec center, where thousands of RV'ers checked out gadgets and gizmos for their RV's

Mt. McKinley - The Highest Peak in North America

Destination: Fairbanks, AK
Park: Denali National Park
About: Picture was taken from Denali State Park, where we stayed for three days out of our sixty six days on the road. Mt. McKinley is only seen by about 30% of the visitors who care enough to drive up in higher altitudes. The road trip itself was 17,145 miles, and we only used campgrounds ten of the sixty six nights.
Attractions: There are more attractions along the way then could possibly be listed. The main highlight of the trip was the Mid Summer Powwow in Fairbanks, AK. If your unfamiliar with Alaska, take a tour with the Northern Alaska Tour Company. Year after year, this is considered one of the best tours in the U.S. Looking for low cost fun check out the Ice Museum.
